a...step back from the EDGE?
Today, I...reinstalled the latest version of Unity, created a blank 2D project, and made a GameObject named "Player" and a blank script named "PlayerStatScript."
I already have a headache.
I am facing facts today, and acknowledging that maybe I need to do more research and learning before I throw myself headlong into this project. I want to use Unity to make a game, and I want to try to actually make this happen.
It is all very daunting.
Doesn't sound very edgy of me, does it?
I didn't figure it would.
But them's the facts - the next few days of my life are going to be spent consuming tutorial content and learning how to make even the most basic of things. The sad part is, I had a whole-ass project made in VB.NET a couple of years ago - I had stats down, item generation, so on and so forth, and I was working on monster spawning and generation.
Now, I feel like I'm starting over again. But our setbacks are what push us forward, and we only learn to succeed by picking ourselves up through the constant dragging-through-the-mud that is adversity.
Tomorrow's update will hopefully be more edgy and fun.

A love-letter to the ridiculously edgy comics of the 90s, in roguelike form.
